OneShot Community Guidelines
OneShot exists to give high school athletes one shot at being seen — and to give coaches a trustworthy place to find them. Most of our athletes are minors. These guidelines are enforced accordingly.
Child safety comes first
Child sexual abuse and exploitation has no place here, in any form, ever. Adults are on OneShot to talk to high-school athletes, so this is the rule the platform is built around rather than one line in a list.
- Never send sexual messages or images to a minor, ask a minor for them, or sexualize a minor in a caption, comment, or profile — including images that are drawn or generated.
- Never try to move a conversation with a minor off OneShot, ask for their phone number or address, or arrange to meet privately. A legitimate coach contacts an athlete through their school, their club, or their parents.
- If an adult does any of this to you, tell someone and report it. You will not get in trouble, and you do not have to be sure. Use the report option on the message, comment, video, or profile, or email legal@oneshotathlete.com. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
- What happens: the account is removed permanently, and apparent child sexual abuse material is reported to NCMEC and to law enforcement.
For everyone
- Be real. Real names, real stats, real film. Fabricated results, inflated measurements, and impersonation get removed — repeat offenses end accounts.
- Be respectful. No harassment, bullying, hate speech, or sexual content. Zero tolerance in comments and chat.
- Respect privacy. Never share another user's personal information. Never screenshot-and-share private messages or private videos.
- Report what you see. Every video, comment, message, and profile has a report option. Blocking is instant and the blocked user is never notified.
For athletes
- Post film you have the right to share. If a teammate is identifiable and objects, we may remove it on request.
- Keep challenge submissions honest — leaderboard integrity is everyone's currency.
- You control your visibility: every video can be Public, Friends, or Only Me, and your phone number is never visible to anyone.
For coaches
- Coach accounts represent your program. Anything you post is recruit-facing.
- Follow NCAA contact rules — the platform enforces communication windows, but responsibility is yours (see the Compliance Policy).
- Never request personal contact information from a minor through chat; keep recruiting conversations on-platform where they're protected.
- No inducements, no pay-for-play, no pressure tactics.
Enforcement
Violations are handled by warning, content removal, feature restriction, suspension, or permanent ban depending on severity. Safety issues involving minors are escalated immediately and may be reported to authorities. Appeals: support@oneshotathlete.com.
