OneShot Terms of Service

Effective date: September 2026

Welcome to OneShot. By creating an account or using the OneShot app, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Eligibility

2. Your account

Provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and tell us immediately about unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Account deletion: you may delete your account at any time in Settings โ†’ Account. Deletion permanently removes your profile, performance data, videos, messages, and other personal content. A limited set of safety records is retained for up to two years — reports made about an account, and moderation actions taken. Deleting an account must not erase a record of harm to somebody else, and must not delete a report somebody else relied on. We also keep anything the law requires us to keep. Details are on the account deletion page.

3. User conduct

You agree not to: violate laws or NCAA rules; harass, bully, or harm other users; post false or misleading information (including fabricated stats or results); impersonate anyone; interfere with the platform; use bots or scrapers; or collect other users' information.

4. Child safety — zero tolerance

OneShot prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) absolutely. This is a platform built for high-school athletes, most of whom are minors, and adults hold accounts here in order to contact them. That combination places the following above every other rule in these Terms.

5. Content

6. Recruiting and NCAA compliance

OneShot is an independent platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NCAA or any conference or institution. Using OneShot does not guarantee recruitment, scholarship offers, eligibility, or admission. Users are responsible for their own compliance with NCAA bylaws; see the OneShot Compliance Policy for how communication features enforce contact windows.

7. NIL

OneShot provides educational resources and brand-building tools. OneShot is not a party to any NIL agreement, and NIL activities must never be used as recruiting inducements. Pay-for-play is prohibited.

High school athletes: whether you may earn NIL compensation is set by your state's high school athletic association, and rules differ dramatically by state โ€” in some states accepting NIL compensation forfeits eligibility. Confirm your state association's current rules (with a parent or guardian) before entering any arrangement.

Collegiate landscape: following the House v. NCAA settlement (2025), third-party NIL agreements above the NCAA's reporting threshold (currently $600) are subject to clearinghouse review (NIL Go), and institutions may share revenue with enrolled athletes. Pre-enrollment NIL discussions do not bind institutions and cannot serve as recruiting inducements. These rules evolve quickly; users are responsible for compliance with the rules in force.

8. Scores and rankings

Trading-card ratings, percentiles, and leaderboard ranks are computed by OneShot from user-entered data using our published methodology. They are informational, may change as the methodology evolves, and are not a promise of athletic evaluation by any institution.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, OneShot is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You will indemnify OneShot against claims arising from your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes are resolved by binding arbitration under AAA rules, except either party may bring qualifying claims in small-claims court. Minors' guardians: any arbitration clause applies only to the extent enforceable against minors in your jurisdiction.

12. App-store terms

If you downloaded OneShot from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the store's standard terms also apply; Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of this section with the right to enforce it.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms and will notify you of material changes in-app. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance. If you accepted a previous version, you'll be asked to re-accept when the version number changes.
